09-14 April| Euroluce - the landmark exhibition where Serip launched the VOA collection
After a week in Milan the Portuguese brand return to Lisbon with the heart full of love, it was a without a doubt a memorable week with a huge amount of visitors to our space, where we present a new space concept inspired by the game of shadows and lights, featuring the most iconic collections as well as new bespoke designs. The highlight was the newest VOA Collection that spread her wings for the first time at Euroluce exhibition.
This marvellous collection is inspired in species of swallows known as “Hirundo Rustica” presents spectacular ballets where they paint the skies like ballerinas. Their funnel-shaped bodies are also a Portuguese icon, which translates our soul in movements and shapes. The unfindable configurations that they perform allow this singular collection to create beautiful visual compositions. Either in suspension or standing on the walls, they create a dramatic game of shadows and light. Also, they can stay aligned, side by side, in an extreme organic and sharp textured tree branch creating extraordinary contrasts with the smooth and fluid shapes of their bodies.
The poetical beauty of nature involved the different designs exhibited as Folio, Nenufar or Coral, altogether with the beautiful sound composed by Victor Zamora, a well-known Cuban pianist and compositor, that filled the space with a magic atmosphere.
Serip showcased new compositions and new designs with an evocative poetic reign, where sculptural forms of nature are eternalized through craftsmanship with unique handcrafted techniques and with a blend of superb materials such as glass and bronze.
Pieces where the size and forms impressed and where the choice of materials raised the aesthetic in a deep exploration of the flawless beauty found in nature.
